Rachael Boglarsky- About My Classroom

Hi!  I'm placed at Post Oak Elementary school in a Kindergarten classroom. My class is part of a Chinese Immersion Program, and spend half their day with English instruction and the other half with Chinese instruction. The morning and afternoon classes will be switching at the end of January so I will be getting a new set of students to work with. While I'm there, the students spend the majority of the times working at various centers. I  am usually responsible for floating and supporting the HT as needed, or working with a small group of students. I have yet to see any direct math instruction in my classroom-during the time I'm there we have been focused on literacy and science.
